Welcome to the Tri.EXPO

We are looking forward to welcoming you on September 7 and 8, 2024 as visitor or exhibitor at our fair, the Tri.EXPO, in Tanzbrunnen.

Thousands of tri lovers will show up and stroll for a long shopping triathlon. Besides bikes and fitting apparel you will be informed about nutrition, health etc.

This is what the Tri.EXPO will stand for. The fair will present approximately 30 partners from Germany and abroad around triathlon. The entry is free for all visitors.

  • 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. pick-up of bib numbers in Tanzbrunnen
  • 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. bike check-in in Rheinpark
  • 8:00 a.m. start of middle distance and middle distance relay in Deutzer Hafen
  • 10:30 a.m. start of Olympic distance and Olympic distance relay in Deutzer Hafen
  • 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. Tri.EXPO in Tanzbrunnen
  • as of approx 11:30 a.m. finishes in Tanzbrunnen
  • as of approx. 12:45 p.m. award ceremonies in Tanzbrunnen
  • 1:00 p.m. start of sprint distance next to the expo tower (Messeturm)
  • 4:30 p.m. finish deadline for all competitions
  • prior to 6:00 p.m. bike check-out in Rheinpark

Our recommendation: Please come already to the Tri.EXPO on Saturday in order to avoid unnecessary stress prior to the race on Sunday.

Location

Description

Tanzbrunnen was created in 1928 – it now extends to an area of 30,000 square metres and hosts a cultural and recreational park with open air stage and theatre. You have a fantastic view of Cologne Cathedral and the old town skyline from the Rheinterrassen with restaurant and beer garden as well as the “km 689 Cologne Beach Club” next door.

Note: We highly recommend to travel to Tanzbrunnen by public transportation (KVB)!

 

By public transportation

The following  Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe (KVB) trams and busses will stop in the proximity of Tanzbrunnen:

  • tram: lines 1, 3, 4 and 9, exit at Deutz/Messe
  • bus: lines 150, 250 and 260, exit at Bahnhof Deutz/Messeplatz and lines 153, 179 and 196, exit at Bahnhof Deutz/Lanxess Arena

From there you can take the bus line 150 or follow the signage and walk (5 to 7 minutes).
